Powell's Drywall Repair (garage cieling)

Mr. Powell contacted me reference some repairs to his drywall in the garage ceiling and one spot inside the house where water damage had occured from a leaking roof... he had the roof repaired some months before but had not yet tended to the ceilings inside the house.  Additionally, Mr. Powell wanted some new lighting wired up inside the garage and of course with these sorts of repairs there was plenty of touch up painting to do.  Complicating matters was the age of the house and the texture pattern on the cielings which was difficult to match.  See the attached photos.

Just after starting work.. having removed the area needing replacement... you can still see some of the water staining and the torn drywall where the old lights had fallen away because of being improperly anchored.

After cutting a replacement pannel, patching holes and beginning work with spackle, as well as  bleaching the stained areas to kill any mold and prep for painting.  Also below you will see the new lighting installed, anchored correctly, and all wiring run in channel to protect the wires and dress up the project a bit.

Here just above you can see the texture put up to best match

the surrounding area and prior to paint.

Below you can see that the painting has been completed and

it all looks brand new.
